Integrity: Leading with God Watching 2

Integrity: Leading with God Watching 2

“Man must be disciplined, for he is by nature Raw and wild” Last night when I started writing, I was not sure what to write about . Then I remembered that we are not inspired to do things but we get inspired while we are doing something and then it all became true. Read on. I had so much to write about but I needed just one topic per week. I thought of writing about discipline, and I wrote a very good piece . When finished I started on another one, Failure, this was inspired by Monday memo I get from Dr. John Stanko. He declared 27 April Failure day. That we all must celebrate our failures on that day. I was not sure how on earth anyone would want to celebrate failure, most of us we actually hide most of our failures and then we pretend we have it all together. By refusing to see what he meant I realized, that I was just in the same category of those who only wanted to be known of their success. I spent the last two weeks trying to understand why I should celebrate my failure and wow, I came up with real good reasons why I should celebrate it. I began to write again and only went to bed at 4 am. I had meetings from 9am on the project I am working on in Fourways, so I had to get up two hours later. But in my 2 minute sleep I got inspired to write again on another Topic the same one, as last week’s, Integrity -leading with God watching.

I was really challenged last week and did some mileage in checking my life and in the process I came up with the few insights listed below. I discovered that if you have integrity you have it all, that its not what you imagine or wish, it real and very measurable and includes traits like keeping your word, being responsible, honest, being moral right and the most amazing one I discovered was, making the right choices. Can you imagine making a wrong choice says you don’t have integrity? I have made so many wrong choices but remember its in the past tense. And taking responsibility means not blaming others for anything. I learnt that I can’t even pretend that I have integrity ouch, are we so good at that pretending are we not? Money is not a decisive factor as to whether I would be honest or not. Whatever price is out there integrity has a greater value. People can take away everything from you but if you have integrity you still have it all, remember it all started within and it can only come out again. The bible says ‘A good name is better than gold.’ If you have to be forced by law to pay your debts, child support then you really don’t have it. Even as business people are we conducting business with honest and honor? Or it is normal now that we should just dance to the tune the world has composed. I know for a fact that in the last two week I have been challenged by this word I have peace and once you have peace you become creative. Jim Cole wrote that ”the finest luxury of life is integrity of the mind and the spirit.” It s a heart issue. Most of us indulge in a degree of play-acting for the cameras, of course. When in public our manners improve, our dress might be smarter, our annoying habits under control, even our accent slightly more proper. It’s essentially a simple morality tale does personal integrity depends on someone watching? One write wrote “these days, its best to be squeaky clean right deep down inside. Big brother is watching all of us” Lets Make integrity as our way of life.

Power Thought :
Is it not funny that everyone wants to change the world instead of just changing themselves?
