Day Dreaming: A Key to Success
“All men dream, but not equally. There are those who dream at night while they sleep and wake up to realize that it was just vanity. Then there are those who dream during the day, the real movers and shakers of the world – they dream with their eyes open, and make sure that their dreams will come true.” T.E. Lawrence
It’s not easy to dream during the day, because you risk everyone around you calling you a dreamer. I don’t think that there’s anything wrong in being a dreamer, and don’t let anyone steal your dream. It’s important to know that the only person who can understand your dream is YOU and not to seek to be understood by those around you.
It’s tough to realize a dream but it’s possible to bring it into reality. The key is knowing that there’s a cost attached to every dream being a reality. If the dream is big enough then the problems don’t matter. My pastor said if your dream does not scare you then it’s not good enough!
The paradox of life is that success is built on inconvenience, never on convenience. Those who are willing to struggle and grow from it, win. Struggle creates winners. Most times people stop fighting because they lack vision or the focus to accomplish what they dream.
Never doubt your dream even if it doesn’t make sense to you. Just take action, knowing that sometimes you must fake it until you make it; By this I mean believe that you will succeed no matter what (which is not the same as living a lie). Finally, accept that with a vision comes opposition. Choose to ignore opposition, because if you focus on both your dream will never be a reality.
