Lesson from watching the sunrise
I woke up at my usual 5am club time. I decided to sit on the balcony and listen to the crushing waves. I am sure l could live on this spot forever. So lm putting it out there,” beach house “. As l set there l noticed the sun was about to rise. My mind began to wonder, how many times, as a people we sit in the dark and fail to see the big light in our horizon. Had l been paying attention to my surroundings, l would have missed this wonder. 15 minutes was such a long time. As l watched, the sun came out not so bright, it was just an orange glow. But when l moved my eyes to the horizon, l noticed its brightness. I looked back to it, it was gone, but it was there. What had happened was as it rose it passed through some very dark clouds. Watching the horizon showed it was still there, so l waited. Eventually brighter and brighter the rays kissed the ocean in its wake.
The lesson
How many times in life, we feel the heaviness of the dark clouds over us and fail to see the light in front of us, because we choose to look at the light through the lenses of the dark clouds around us. Maybe just maybe, if you look over to the horizon you will see the hope that lies there, giving you assurance that, the light is still on you. See beyond the clouds. Hold on, the light will soon be visible, and its brightness has never deemed. Be assured the sun will always shine brighter even through the clouds. Focus not on your problem but the horizon.
