JUST ONE WORD
Proverbs 11vs 25 “A generous man will prosper; he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed.”
Fourteen years ago, I was called in my banker’s office; she had demanded I bring in my cheque book, with me. I had received a letter for removal from the deputy sheriff’s office for non payment of some goods; I had taken for my salon usage. When I walked into her office she looked me into the eye and gave me a mouthful. I was just writing cheques though there was no money in the account and all the takings I was using from the till. I had an overdraft facility and it was always over the limit, my cash flow management was a disaster. One word out of the many she said was, ‘I don’t know why I am sticking my job on the line for you but I believe you are a better business person than you give yourself credit for, give me your cheque book and from now on all payments are made with my ok and all cash received has to be b anked everyday no matter how small.” She converted my overdraft to a loan and paid all my pending bills and gave me a clean start. Its because of this woman Virginia Sibanda who when I was 23 years old, in my first business venture believed in me that today I boast of all I have including the 5 star Day Spa I have just opened. She probably didn’t believe what she was saying, but she saw me in the spirit and gave me a word of encouragement that made me see me even though I didn’t see. I didn’t want to let her down so I pushed me.
Pastor Tom at Action, mentioned that we need to see each other in the spirit not in the flesh, my prayer is that one day I can be a Virginia in someone else’s life. Don’t just give material things to people give them a word of encouragement, how many dreams have we killed by not saying something positive to someone? This week help someone revive what God deposited inside of them by encouraging them; maybe it’s just a yes that can change their life. The owner of Ford motors went around telling over fifty people about his idea and the last one encouraged him and today Im one of many who owned /own a Ford car, all because of one man.
