Living your dream, supporting someone’s vision and the difference

Dear AllThank you to those who made it for the last Meeting of the year and it really was special in a different way, say it was up close and personal, what ever that means but I enjoyed it, so thank you. Yesterday I had an interesting discussion with people and that inspired this week’s topic. So many of us have dreams bigger than us but we put them aside, cause are too busy living someone Else’s dream. We get old and die bitter or when reality hits home we feel cheated. What is your reason for not living your dream? Is it your parents’s, society’s,husband’s or your wife’s dream thave taken first priority in your life  first before yours? Are you living through your boss’s or your church’s vision? I’m all for supporting other people’s vision,  I believe in supporting other peoples vision yours get to come true but the KEY is not to put your dreams on hold because you want to support someone’s vision even when you believe  in. So many times we put aside our personal dreams and step into others dreams and visions. We end up resenting the very people we have set out to support. So as the year end be honest with yourself and answer this question, who’s dream are you living? Becoming a servant leader involves serving others but remember its within our dreams that we can serve others properly without resenting.  Dreams have fascinated and intrigued mankind since the oldest written record found in the Epic of Gilgamesh, recorded in clay tablets in 3000BC. The bible contains numerous references of people being guided by dreams like Joseph predicted for the  Pharaoh seven years of plenty and seven years of lack.‘dreams will show you where you are and where you are going they reveal your destiny’[Carl Jung].Its only through your dream that you can have self satisfactions. Your dream can align with someone Else’s vision and there is nothing wrong to support someones vision  but still live Your dream. Tips:Write down your dream, give it a name and plan your live around it no matter how stupid it might appear. remember God’s word says ‘He has chosen the foolish things of this world to confound the wise’ [1cor1 vs 27]Power Thought:Something we were withholding made us weak until we found it was ourselves.
