Networking/Networth
Dear AllMy week has been so busy with functions coming from all over, and I got caught up in the maze that I almost forgot to do my mail this week. This made me think, why am I running around so much going to all these parties when I don’t even drink?, then it dawned on me that I was doing this for networking. My equation for success is T+P+A2=S, which stands for Talent+Passion+Action+Association= Success. I believe with talent, your passion and your action without the right association you wont go far. Its holiday time true, but this is the time you bump at many people who you normally don’t meet, you could be at the same function or staying at the same hotel, so my advise is be nice and network. It common knowledge that your income is the average of the most five people you associate with. Some friends you don’t need they spend your time and profit you nothing. I believe your network is your networthy, and if you are serious about going somewhere in life look around you and associate yourself with people going somewhere. Network is the most effective marketing tool in business. But it can be also be the most obnoxious. Women are generally good networkers but theirs is more for social unlike men they network for utilitarian purposes, they are not afraid to use their contacts. Jesus was the best networker and his worthiness is evident today. So enjoy the parties but take those business cards and move around with yours too, cause you never know who you will meet.Tips:-Approach someone alone-its always easier to introduce yourself to one person than many strangers.-Don’t waste contacts-Try and made note of where you met the person and write at the back of the card cause many time at social parties people exchange cards but forgets where the card was from. [fair lady may 2003]Power Thought:To go anywhere one must have a direction, if you don’t have a vision of where you want to be in the next two years these functions you are attending the people you will meet in the next few weeks will mean nothing.
