POWER THOUGHT: Men without Vision shall perish

“Men without Vision shall perish” Proverbs 29:18I never really understood this verse until I read it from another version which reads “men without vision shall cast off all restraint.” In other words people without vision lack discipline. I have heard people say they don’t have the discipline to do this or do that everyday, and I have agreed with them in those times, but what this verse really means is that if you are suffering from a self-discipline problem, you are really lacking vision. Or perhaps, that the vision you have is too small to stir within you the desire to pursue it with passion and perseverance. Your self-discipline is a measure of your desire to reach your vision. Bigger vision requires more self-descipline  Are you disciplined?“Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious trimphs, even though checkered by failure, than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much, because they live in the grey twilight that knows niether victory nor defeat.” Theodore Roosevelt. You may fail sometimes but if you pursue you will gain victory eventually.
